Description

A vibrant, herb-based condiment with fresh parsley and cilantro, spiced with green chilis and garlic, perfect for enhancing a variety of dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 23 hot green chilis, seeded and chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • Salt to taste
  • Olive oil (about 1/4 cup)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients for convenience.
  2. In a food processor, combine parsley, cilantro, hot chilis, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, and a sprinkle of salt.
  3. Pulse the mixture for about 15-20 seconds until the herbs are finely chopped.
  4. With the processor running, gradually drizzle in the olive oil until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
  6. Serve your Zhoug Sauce as a condiment for grilled meats, or as a dip for veggies and chips.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. The sauce only gets better as it sits!
