For the Donuts
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup unsweetened plant-based milk (almond, soy, or oat milk)
- ¼ cup coconut oil (melted)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
For the Glaze
- 1½ cups powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp plant-based milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Step 1: Prepare the BatterPreheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.In a separate bowl, combine plant-based milk, melted coconut oil, vanilla extract, and apple cider vinegar.Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Avoid overmixing. Step 2: Bake the DonutsSpoon or pipe the batter into the greased donut pan, filling each mold about ¾ full.Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely. Step 3: Make the GlazeIn a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, plant-based milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk or powdered sugar as needed.
