Ingredients

  • 12 large white or cremini mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (plus extra for garnish)
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat Your Oven
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Mushrooms
Gently clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel and remove the stems. Save the stems for the filling.
  • Step 3: Make the Filling
Chop the mushroom stems finely and sauté them in olive oil over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until softened.
In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed stems, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, breadcrumbs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined.
  • Step 4: Stuff the Mushrooms
Spoon the filling into the mushroom caps, mounding slightly for a generous portion. Place the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Step 5: Bake
Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden and the mushrooms are tender.
  • Step 6: Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • For a crispier topping, drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the mushrooms before baking.
  • To save time, prepare the filling in advance and refrigerate it until ready to use.
