Ingredients
  

For Ribs:

  • 1 rack (3-4 lbs) baby back or spare ribs
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

For Sauce:

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Prep Ribs: Remove membrane from ribs, then rub with spice mixture (brown sugar through black pepper).
    Slow Cook: Place ribs upright in slow cooker (curved side out), cover, and cook on LOW 6 hours.
    Make Sauce: Whisk all sauce ingredients in a saucepan; simmer 5 minutes.
    Glaze: Brush ribs with sauce, broil 3-5 minutes until caramelized.

Notes

  • For spicier ribs, add ½ tsp cayenne to rub.
  • No broiler? Grill ribs 2-3 minutes per side instead.
  • Liquid smoke enhances smoky flavor without a grill.
