Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped (optional, for a more vibrant flavor)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Juice of ½ lemon (optional, for added freshness)

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prep Your Ingredients
    Wash and dry the parsley and cilantro thoroughly. Finely chop the herbs.
  • Step 2: Mix the Base
    In a medium bowl, combine the parsley, cilantro, garlic, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes.
  • Step 3: Add the Liquids
    Stir in the red wine vinegar and olive oil until well combined.
  • Step 4: Season and Adjust
    Add salt and black pepper to taste. If desired, squeeze in the lemon juice for extra brightness.
  • Step 5: Let It Rest
    Allow the chimichurri to sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes to let the flavors meld together. Serve fresh!

Notes

  • Chimichurri tastes even better after a few hours as the flavors develop.
