Ingredients

  • 2 tenderloin steaks (6-8 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Take the steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Season both sides of the steaks generously with salt and pepper.
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
Once the oil is hot, place the steaks in the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until a crust forms.
Add butter, garlic, and rosemary to the skillet. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks as they cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer (130°F for medium-rare).
Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer for precise doneness.
  • Letting the steak rest is crucial for juiciness.
