Dough and Filling

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough Pillsbury is recommended for fluffiness.
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, diced Fresh is best, but frozen can be used.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar Use dark brown sugar for a deeper flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted Room temperature for easy spreading.
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese frosting (optional) Store-bought or homemade.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (or according to the cinnamon roll package instructions).
  • In a bowl, combine the diced peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir until the peaches are well coated.
  • Open the cinnamon roll dough and roll it out on a clean, lightly floured surface.
  • Brush the melted butter generously over the rolled-out dough.
  • Evenly sprinkle the peach filling over the dough.
  • Start from one edge and carefully roll the dough back up into a log shape.
  • Cut the rolled dough into approximately 1-inch thick pieces.
  • Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and bake for about 25-30 minutes, until they are puffed and golden brown.
  • Drizzle frosting over the rolls while they are still warm.
  • Serve immediately to enjoy warm.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or refrigerated for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
