Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips or breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook noodles al dente; drain.
    Brown meat with onion and garlic; drain excess fat.
    Mix soup, sour cream, milk, and half the cheese in a bowl.
    Combine noodles, meat mixture, and sauce; transfer to baking dish.
    Top with remaining cheese and crushed chips/breadcrumbs. Dot with butter.
    Bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream.
  • Can substitute ground chicken or make vegetarian with mushrooms.
