Ingredients

  • 2 po chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (for extra crispiness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley for garnish Optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top. Spray the rack lightly with cooking spray.
  • Prepare the Chicken Wings: Pat the wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. In a large bowl, toss the wings with baking powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  • Bake the Wings: Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  • Make the Lemon-Pepper Sauce: While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, cracked black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir well to combine.
  • Toss the Wings in Sauce: Once the wings are done, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the lemon-pepper sauce over the wings and toss to coat evenly
  • Serve and Enjoy: Arrange the wings on a platter, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red chili flakes to the sauce.
