Ingredients
4
oz
fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
2
medium lemons, juiced
1
cup
water
1
tbsp
honey (optional, for sweetness)
⅛
tsp
cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)
Instructions
Wash, peel, and chop the ginger into small pieces.
Add the ginger, lemon juice, and water to a blender. Blend on high until smooth.
Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing out as much liquid as possible.
Stir in honey and cayenne pepper if using.
Pour the liquid into small bottles or jars for easy storage.
Refrigerate and enjoy a shot daily for up to 5 days.
Notes
Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to suit your spice tolerance. For a smoother shot, strain the juice twice.
