Ingredients
  

  • 4 oz fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
  • 2 medium lemons, juiced
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional, for sweetness)
  • tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)

Instructions
 

  • Wash, peel, and chop the ginger into small pieces.
  • Add the ginger, lemon juice, and water to a blender. Blend on high until smooth.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a bowl, pressing out as much liquid as possible.
  • Stir in honey and cayenne pepper if using.
  • Pour the liquid into small bottles or jars for easy storage.
  • Refrigerate and enjoy a shot daily for up to 5 days.

Notes

Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to suit your spice tolerance. For a smoother shot, strain the juice twice.
