Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is softened. Drain excess fat.
Stir in the uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, beef broth, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
