Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Prep the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush lightly with olive oil or melted butter, and season with salt and pepper.
Preheat the Grill: Heat the grill to medium-high (375°F). Oil the grates to prevent sticking.
Grill the Salmon: Place the salmon skin-side down on the grill. Cook for 4-5 minutes, then flip carefully. Brush the glaze over the salmon during the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
Finish and Serve: Remove the salmon when it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F. Let it rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
