- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1½ cup milk
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (optional, for topping)
Blanch the Green Beans: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath to stop cooking.Toast the Almonds: In a skillet, toast almonds over medium heat until golden brown. Set aside.Prepare the Sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan.
