Ingredients

  • 2 fresh tenderloin steaks (about 6-8 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp cracked black pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional, for added depth)

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, cracked black pepper, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, parsley, salt, and balsamic vinegar (if using) to create the marinade.
Place the tenderloin steaks in a resealable bag or shallow dish and coat them evenly with the marinade.
Let the steaks marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour (or up to 4 hours for deeper flavor).
Preheat a grill or skillet to medium-high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade and let them come to room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
Grill or pan-sear the steaks for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached.
Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For a smokier flavor, use a charcoal grill.
  • Adjust cooking time based on steak thickness and preferred doneness.
  • Serve with a side of roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
