Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 500 grams of beef for braising
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (295g) French onion soup
  • 750 ml beef broth
  • 360 grams of egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions

Instructions
 

  • 1.Caramelize Onions: Cook onions in butter over medium-low heat for 20 mins until golden.
    2.Brown Beef: Add beef, cook until no longer pink. Drain fat.
    3.Make Sauce: Stir in flour, then gradually add broth, Worcestershire, and seasonings. Simmer 5 mins.
    4.Cook Noodles: Boil noodles separately until al dente. Drain.
    5.Combine: Toss noodles with beef-onion mixture.
    6.Broil: Top with cheese, broil 2-3 mins until bubbly.

Notes

  • For deeper flavor, caramelize onions for 40+ mins
  • Substitute Swiss for Gruyère if needed
  • Add ¼ cup red wine to sauce for complexity
