Ingredients

  • cups cups all-purpose flour
  • tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Step 1: Prepare the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
In a separate bowl, combine the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Step 2: Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.
  • Step 3: Preheat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
  • Step 4: Cook the Pancakes
Scoop about ¼ cup of batter onto the pan for each pancake.
Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Serve warm with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.

Notes

  • If the batter feels too thick, add a splash of milk.
  • Use a ¼ cup measuring scoop for evenly sized pancakes.
