Ingredients

  • 1 oz freshly brewed espresso (chilled)
  • oz vodka
  • 1 oz coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa)
  • ½ oz simple syrup (optional, for sweetness)
  • Ice cubes
  • 3 coffee beans (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Chill Your Glass
Place a martini glass in the freezer for 5 minutes to ensure your drink stays refreshingly cold.
  • Step 2: Prepare the Ingredients
Brew your espresso and let it cool to room temperature. This step ensures a balanced flavor without diluting the drink.
  • Step 3: Shake It Up
In a cocktail shaker, combine the chilled espresso, vodka, coffee liqueur, and simple syrup (if using). Add a handful of ice cubes.
  • Step 4: Shake Vigorously
Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is cold and frothy.
  • Step 5: Strain and Serve
Using a strainer, pour the mixture into the chilled martini glass. Garnish with three coffee beans placed in the center.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by modifying the amount of simple syrup.
  • For an extra frothy top, ensure your espresso is freshly brewed and hot when added to the shaker.
