Ingredients
  

  • 1 (30 oz) package frozen shredded hash browns (thawed)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes (optional topping)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
    Mix all ingredients (except cornflakes) in large bowl.
    Spread into greased 9x13" baking dish.
    Top with cornflakes if using.
    Bake 35-40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
    Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Substitutions: Use cream of mushroom soup for vegetarian version
  • Add-Ins: Mix in cooked bacon or diced ham
