Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb (1 kg) russet or Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 cloves garlic, roasted
  • ½ cup (120 ml) whole milk, warmed
  • ¼ cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) sour cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Prepare Potatoes: Place the cubed potatoes in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until fork-tender.
    Roast Garlic: While the potatoes cook, roast garlic cloves in a small pan or in the oven until soft and golden.
    Mash Potatoes: Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Mash using a potato masher or ricer.
    Combine Ingredients: Stir in roasted garlic, warmed milk, melted butter, shredded cheese, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
    Serve: Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve warm.
