Ingredients

  • ½ po ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 4 cups mixed greens (lettuce, spinach, arugula, etc.)
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ¼ cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup pickles, sliced
  • ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp bacon bits (optional)
  • 2 tbsp burger sauce or dressing (e.g., Thousand Island, ranch, or special sauce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat if needed.
While the beef cooks, prepare the salad base by combining mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, red onion, pickles, and shredded cheese in a large bowl.
Once the beef is cooked, let it cool slightly, then add it to the salad.
Top with bacon bits (if using) and drizzle with burger sauce or dressing.
Toss gently to combine or serve as a layered salad.

Notes

  • Use ground turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter or vegetarian option.
  • Customize toppings with avocado, cucumbers, or croutons.
  • Double the recipe for meal prep or larger servings.
