Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup roasted cashews
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Prepare the Broccoli
    Rinse the broccoli florets under cold water and pat dry.
    Trim any large stems for even cooking.
  • Step 2: Cook the Broccoli
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
    Add the broccoli and sauté for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vibrant green and slightly tender.
  • Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter
    Push the broccoli to one side of the skillet. Add butter to the other side and let it melt.
    Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  • Step 4: Combine and Finish
    Toss the broccoli with the garlic butter, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
    Add the cashews and soy sauce (if using). Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
    Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 5: Serve
    Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy warm.

Notes

  • To maintain the broccoli’s vibrant color, you can blanch it before sautéing.
  • Soy sauce adds a subtle umami flavor but is entirely optional.
