Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups chow mein noodles Look for the crunchy variety; they add great texture.
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips Ghirardelli recommended for a rich flavor.
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips Can substitute with peanut butter chips.
  • 36 pastel candy eggs Adds a pop of color and fun.

Instructions
 

Melt the Chocolate

  • Place 1 cup of milk chocolate chips and 1 cup of butterscotch chips in a large microwave-safe bowl.
  • Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir well.
  • Microwave for another 30 seconds, stirring until smooth and fully melted.

Add the Chow Mein Noodles

  • Carefully add the 2 cups of chow mein noodles to the melted chocolate mixture.
  • Gently fold the noodles into the melted chocolate with a spatula until completely coated.

Shape the Nests

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper for easy removal.
  • Spoon heaping tablespoons of the mixture onto the parchment, forming nest shapes.
  • Use the back of a spoon to create a small indentation in each nest.

Add Candy Eggs

  • Press three pastel candy eggs into each nest before the chocolate sets.

Setting

  • Allow the nests to sit at room temperature until they are firm.
  • Transfer to the refrigerator for quicker setting, if in a hurry.
  • Once firm, carefully remove the nests from the parchment paper.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
