Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp whole-grain mustard (optional for texture)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Prepare the Honey Mustard Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. If you prefer a touch of smokiness, add paprika.
  • Season the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts or thighs in the baking dish. Brush or spoon the honey mustard glaze generously over each piece, ensuring they are fully coated.
  • Bake the Chicken
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). For a caramelized finish, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Rest and Serve
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley if desired.

Notes

Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or paprika to the sauce for a spicier version. For a juicier cut of meat, use chicken thighs. This dish pairs perfectly with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
