Ingredients
  

Apple Filling:

  • 5 cups (600g) peeled & sliced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup (50g) brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg

Crumble Topping:

  • ¾ cup (95g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (45g) rolled oats
  • ½ cup (100g) brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup (75g) cold butter, cubed

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
    Toss apples with lemon juice, sugar, cornstarch, and spices. Pour into 8x8" baking dish.
    Mix flour, oats, sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly.
    Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.
    Bake 35-40 mins until golden and bubbly.
    Cool 10 mins before serving.

Notes

  • Substitutions: Use gluten-free flour or coconut sugar for dietary needs
  • Add-Ins: Add ¼ cup chopped nuts to topping for crunch
  • Storage: Keeps 3 days refrigerated - reheat in oven
