Description

A magical dessert featuring creamy cheesecake with vibrant green and purple swirls, perfect for Halloween or fall gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 (8 oz) packages of cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Green and purple food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Add vanilla and mix well.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated. Stir in sour cream.
  5. Divide the batter into two bowls; color one green and the other purple.
  6. Pour both batters into the prepared crust in alternating layers. Swirl with a knife if desired.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the edges are firm and the center has a slight jiggle.
  8. Leave the cheesecake in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour. Cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Carefully remove from the springform pan, slice, and serve chilled.

Notes

For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature. Use a hot knife for neat slices.
