A soul-warming comfort food featuring rich, creamy fettuccine topped with tender steak and a luscious garlic butter cream sauce.
Ingredients
- Fettuccine Pasta (12 oz)
- Steak (1 lb, sirloin or ribeye)
- Velveeta Cheese (8 oz)
- Butter (4 tbsp, unsalted)
- Heavy Cream (1 cup)
- Garlic (4 cloves, minced)
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the fettuccine in boiling salted water until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of cooking water.
- Season the steak with salt and pepper, then cook in a skillet with 1 tbsp butter for 3-5 minutes per side. Let rest and slice.
- In the same skillet, melt remaining butter and sauté minced garlic for 1 minute. Add heavy cream and Velveeta, stirring until smooth.
- Add cooked fettuccine and sliced steak to the skillet, tossing to coat.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use room temperature butter and cream for a smoother sauce. You can prepare the sauce ahead and reheat when ready to serve.
