Description

Veggie-Loaded Turkey Sliders are a healthier twist on classic sliders, featuring lean ground turkey mixed with finely chopped vegetables and seasonings, served on mini buns. Perfect for parties, game day, or a family-friendly meal, these sliders are moist, flavorful, and packed with nutrients.

Ingredients

– 2 lbs Ground Turkey (93/7)
– 1 cup Finely Grated Carrots
– 1 cup Packed Fresh Spinach, Finely Chopped
– 1/2 cup Finely Grated Yellow Onion
– 1/2 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
– 1 Large Egg, Lightly Beaten
– 2 Cloves Garlic, Minced
– 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
– 1 tsp Dried Oregano
– 1 tsp Salt
– 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
– 2 tbsp Olive Oil
– 12-16 Slider Buns
– 8 slices Provolone or Mild Cheddar Cheese
– 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
– 2 tbsp Ketchup
– 1 tsp Dijon Mustard
– Optional Toppings: Lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, pickles, red onion rings

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare a grill.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, grated zucchini, grated carrot, diced bell pepper, minced onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape into small patties.
  4. Cook patties on a preheated grill or bake on a lined baking sheet for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  5. Toast the slider buns lightly if desired.
  6. Assemble sliders with patties and optional toppings like cheese, lettuce, tomato, and your favorite condiments.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Be sure to drain the grated zucchini well to avoid excess moisture in the patties.
  • For added flavor, mix in 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs or rolled oats to help bind the ingredients.
  • These can be made ahead and refrigerated until ready to cook.
  • Serve with a side of sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.
