Description

A rich and creamy Vanilla American Buttercream Frosting perfect for any baked goods.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks, softened)
  • 16 oz powdered sugar (1 pound, about 3.54 cups)
  • 12 tbsp milk or heavy whipping cream (up to 1/4 cup, optional)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cream the softened butter using a mixer on medium-high speed until pale yellow, about 4-5 minutes.
  2. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract; mix on low speed for about one minute until crumbly.
  3. Increase speed to medium and continue mixing for another 3-4 minutes until the frosting is light and fluffy.
  4. Check consistency; add milk or cream gradually if needed.
