Description

Spooky and delightful Vampire Bite Cupcakes filled with strawberry jam and topped with creamy frosting, perfect for Halloween gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring (optional)
  • Chocolate candy or fondant (for decorating)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  3. Fill each cupcake liner about 2/3 full with batter.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Allow cupcakes to cool for 5 minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack.
  6. Mix chopped strawberries with strawberry jam in a bowl.
  7. Core the cooled cupcakes and reserve the cones.
  8. Fill each cupcake with the strawberry mixture.
  9. Beat softened butter in a large bowl, gradually adding powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth, mixing in red food coloring as desired.
  10. Frost the tops of the cupcakes and decorate with chocolate candy or fondant fangs.
  11. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure butter is at room temperature for easy mixing. The filling can be prepared a day in advance.
