- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup M&M candies (preferably red and pink for Valentine’s Day)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
- Gently fold in the M&M candies.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned.
- Cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For extra chewy cookies, take them out of the oven just before they look fully set. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
