A 15-minute comfort food marvel combining creamy tuna salad with melted cheese between crispy bread.
Ingredients

- 1 can of tuna (5 oz)
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon chopped celery
- 1 tablespoon chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 2 slices of bread
- 2 slices of cheese (cheddar or American)
- Butter for spreading
Instructions
- Prep the tuna mixture by draining and flaking the tuna into a mixing bowl.
- Mix in the mayonnaise, chopped celery, chopped onion, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper, mixing well.
- Butter the bread on one side of each slice.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat until the butter begins to melt.
- Assemble the sandwich with one slice of bread buttered side down and half of the tuna mixture with cheese on top.
- Finish with the second slice of bread, buttered side up, and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
- Flip the sandwich carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Slice the sandwich in half and serve warm.
Notes
Consider adding jalapeños for spice or using different types of cheese for varied flavor.
