Description
Indulge in a rich Triple Chocolate Mousse Cake featuring layers of dark, milk, and white chocolate mousses with a crunchy Oreo crust.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups crushed Oreo cookies or chocolate biscuits
- 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter
- 4 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa recommended)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp unflavored gelatin (optional)
- 4 oz milk chocolate
- 4 oz white chocolate
- Cocoa powder for dusting
- Chocolate curls
- Fresh berries (strawberries or raspberries)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter; press into an 8-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
- Melt dark chocolate in a double boiler. Whip 1 cup cream with 1 tbsp sugar until soft peaks form and fold in melted chocolate. If using gelatin, dissolve it in water, mix in, and pour over the cooled crust. Chill for at least 45 minutes.
- Repeat the process with milk chocolate, adding it over the dark chocolate layer and chilling again for 45 minutes.
- For the white chocolate mousse, melt white chocolate and combine with whipped cream and sugar as before. Pour over the milk chocolate layer and chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, decorate with cocoa powder, chocolate curls, and fresh berries.
Notes
Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. The cake can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
