- 1 lb. tilapia fillets
- 1/4 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 egg white
- 2 tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. dried basil
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- 4 reduced-calorie hamburger buns
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 cucumber, sliced
Instructions
- Prepare the tilapia by pulsing the fillets in a food processor until just chopped. Set aside.
- Mix the pulsed tilapia, Panko breadcrumbs, whole egg, egg white, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and basil in a bowl until just combined.
- Chill the mixture in the fridge for 10 minutes if too wet.
- Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Cook the patties for about 4 minutes per side or until golden brown.
- Serve on toasted buns topped with avocado, tomato, and cucumber.
