- 8 slices sandwich bread (toasted)
- 2 cilantro roots
- ½ teaspoon white peppercorns
- 8 cloves garlic (peeled)
- 10.6 ounces ground pork
- ½ tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 pinch sugar
- 1 egg
- 32 fresh cilantro leaves
- 2 cups oil (for deep frying)
Instructions
- Cut the bread into 4 squares and set aside.
- Prepare the cilantro mixture by pounding cilantro roots, white peppercorns, and garlic until fine.
- Combine soy sauce, sugar, and garlic mixture with ground pork in a mixing bowl.
- Add the beaten egg to the pork mix and combine well.
- Spread about 1 teaspoon of the pork mixture on each piece of toasted bread.
- Garnish each piece with a cilantro leaf.
- Fry the toast in hot oil for about 10 seconds on each side until golden brown.
- Drain them on paper towels and serve hot.
Notes
Fry in small batches for even cooking and avoid overcrowding the pan. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
