Description

A creamy and versatile Thai peanut sauce perfect for drizzling, dipping, or as a dressing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar (or lime juice)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or brown sugar)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ cup coconut milk (or water)
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha or chili paste (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped peanuts (for garnish, optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the Base Ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, soy sauce, rice vinegar (or lime juice), honey (or brown sugar), sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes until smooth.
  2. Add the Coconut Milk: Slowly combine the coconut milk (or water) while whisking continuously, adjusting until you reach your desired thickness.
  3. Taste and Adjust: Give it a taste! Adjust lime juice, honey, or soy sauce as needed.
  4. Spice It Up (if desired): If you’d like that extra kick, mix in Sriracha or chili paste.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped peanuts and fresh cilantro. Enjoy or refrigerate for up to a week.

Notes

Ensure ingredients are at room temperature for best mixing. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
