Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Oil for frying
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, fish sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, chili powder, and cornstarch.
  2. Toss in the chicken pieces, ensuring they are thoroughly coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.
  3. In a large skillet, heat about 1/2 inch of oil over medium heat.
  4. Carefully add the marinated chicken bites to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
  5. Using a slotted spoon, remove the chicken bites and place them on a paper towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and serve hot!

Notes

Ensure oil is hot enough before adding chicken to achieve crispy bites. Leftovers keep well for up to 3 days.
