Description

A comforting dish featuring succulent, seared chicken breasts smothered in a creamy sauce and topped with melted Jack cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup shredded Jack cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 23 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions and paprika for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry, rub with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear chicken in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth, scraping browned bits from the bottom.
  6. Stir in sour cream and allow to simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  7. Top each chicken breast with shredded Jack cheese and transfer to the oven.
  8. Bake for around 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and paprika before serving.

Notes

For juiciness, brine chicken in a saltwater solution for 30 minutes before cooking. Use Greek yogurt as a sour cream substitute if desired.
