Description

A delightful blend of chocolate and pecans in a classic Southern pie, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pie crust (Homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Pie Crust by placing it in a 9-inch pie dish and crimping the edges. Optionally, brush the top with beaten egg before par-baking for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix the Filling by combining corn syrup, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Stir in chopped pecans and chocolate chips until evenly mixed.
  5. Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 60-70 minutes until the filling is set and golden brown on top.
  7. Cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.

Notes

Store at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for longer storage. Bake the pie a day in advance for best flavor.
