Delicious and festive sugared cranberries that capture the rich tartness of fresh cranberries beautifully balanced by a light sugary coating.
Ingredients
- Fresh Cranberries
- Granulated Sugar
- Water
Instructions
- Rinse the cranberries and discard any soft or blemished berries. (About 5 minutes)
- In a saucepan, combine equal parts sugar and water (1 cup each) and heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool for about 5 minutes.
- Add the cranberries to the warm syrup, stirring gently to coat. Soak for about 1 hour.
- Drain the cranberries and roll them in granulated sugar until coated.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let dry for a few hours before serving.
Notes
For deeper flavor, let the cranberries sit in syrup overnight. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
