Description

Delightful buttery cookies filled with luscious strawberry jam, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar, for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing gently until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough into small balls about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Create an indentation in the center of each dough ball using your thumb.
  7. Fill each indentation with strawberry jam.
  8. Roll the cookies in granulated sugar to coat them lightly.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, ensure your butter is at room temperature and consider chilling the dough if it’s too soft to handle.
