Description
A sweet and spicy chicken dish featuring honey and gochujang that the whole family will love.
Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs chicken thighs or drumsticks (skin-on or skinless)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (optional)
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 teaspoons water (optional)
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the chicken by patting it dry and seasoning with salt and pepper. Coat with vegetable oil for crispiness.
- In a bowl, whisk together gochujang, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- For the air fryer method, preheat to 375°F (190°C) and cook chicken for 15-18 minutes. For the oven method, preheat to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Simmer the glaze in a saucepan for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened; add cornstarch slurry if desired.
- Toss the cooked chicken in the glaze and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
Notes
For deeper flavor, marinate the chicken in the glaze for at least 30 minutes. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
