Indulge in these delightful Starbucks Cake Pops, featuring a rich chocolate coating and a soft cake center, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box of your favorite cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup chocolate coating (melting chocolate or candy melts)
- Sprinkles (for decoration)
- 12–15 lollipop sticks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and bake the cake mix according to package instructions. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cake into a large bowl until it’s a fine consistency.
- Add the frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until thoroughly combined. The texture should be dense yet pliable.
- Form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) from the mixture and place them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate coating in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth. Stir and ensure there are no lumps.
- Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate before inserting it into the center of each cake ball, about halfway.
- Hold the cake pop by the stick and dip it into the chocolate coating, allowing the excess chocolate to drip off.
- Add sprinkles on top while the chocolate is still wet. Let the cake pops set until hardened.
Notes
For best results, chill the cake balls before dipping to avoid crumbling.
