Description

A refreshing and spicy morning tonic combining ginger, turmeric, and citrus for an immunity boost.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 inches raw Ginger (peeled)
  • 2 cups Filtered water
  • 1 Tbs Apple cider vinegar (with the mother)
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • 1 Tbs Raw Honey
  • 2 Lemons (peeled and quartered)
  • 2 Oranges (peeled and quartered)
  • 2 inches raw Turmeric (peeled) OR 1 tsp powdered turmeric
  • 24 cloves peeled raw Garlic (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all of your ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth (1-2 minutes).
  2. Using a large bowl and a mesh strainer, strain the liquid, pressing down on the pulp.
  3. Pour the strained liquid into a measuring cup with a spout.
  4. Use a small funnel to pour the liquid into your bottles, leaving a quarter inch from the top.
  5. Shake well before consuming, and enjoy first thing in the morning or at the first signs of a cold.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to a week or freeze for longer storage. Adjust sweetness with more honey if desired.
