Instructions

  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the egg yolks one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla and almond extracts.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Slowly add these dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the shredded coconut and chopped pecans gently into the batter.
