Ingredients
- Egg Roll Wrappers
- Ground Pork or Chicken
- Shredded Cabbage
- Grated Carrots
- Chopped Green Onions
- Minced Garlic
- Minced Ginger
- Soy Sauce
- Salt
- Pepper
- Oil for Frying
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil and cook ground pork or chicken until browned and crumbly (about 5-7 minutes).
- Toss in the shredded cabbage, grated carrots, chopped green onions, minced garlic, and ginger to the skillet. Cook until veggies are tender (about 3-5 minutes).
- Stir in soy sauce, salt, and pepper until evenly combined. Taste and adjust seasoning.
- Lay out egg roll wrappers and place about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center of each. Roll tightly and seal with water.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Fry egg rolls until golden brown and crispy (around 3-4 minutes per side).
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
Notes
These egg rolls can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days and can be frozen un-fried for up to 3 months. For a healthier option, bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.
