- 3/4 cup white sugar for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 1/2 cups of sugar until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the egg, vanilla, and almond extract, mixing until fully combined.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and place them onto ungreased cookie sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass, dipping the glass in sugar for extra sweetness.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until lightly golden around the edges.
- Let cool on wire racks before enjoying.
