Description

These bite-sized smoked salmon canapés feature a perfect balance of flavors and textures, combining creamy cheese and rich salmon atop crispy bread or crackers.

Ingredients

  • Smoked Salmon
  • Cream Cheese
  • Fresh Dill
  • Capers
  • Cucumber Slices
  • Baguette or Crackers
  • Lemon Wedges

Instructions

  1. Slice the Baguette into bite-sized pieces (about ¼ inch thick) and lay the slices on a baking sheet.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Brush the baguette slices lightly with room temperature butter and toast in the oven for about 5–7 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. Once cooled, spread a layer of cream cheese on each toasted piece.
  4. Place a slice of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese, folding it into a pretty rosette.
  5. Garnish with capers and a small piece of fresh dill.
  6. If desired, top with a thin cucumber slice.
  7. Plate the canapés and serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Quality ingredients make a big difference. Avoid overloading the canapés and prepare components separately if making in advance.
