A comforting family favorite, this slow cooker chicken Parmesan features juicy chicken in rich marinara sauce, topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pasta for serving
  • Garlic bread for serving
  • Fresh salad for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker, fitting them snugly together.
  2. Season the chicken with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the marinara sauce over the seasoned chicken, ensuring even coverage.
  4. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken shreds easily.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Serve the chicken over pasta with garlic bread and a fresh salad.

Notes

Bring butter to room temperature for garlic bread. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
