Description

Ingredients

  • 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 lbs)
  • 1 1/3 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • 10.5 oz cream of celery soup
  • 2 celery stalks (finely chopped)
  • 2 boxes Stovetop stuffing mix (6 oz each)
  • 6 Tbsp salted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: If your chicken breasts are thick, slice them in half horizontally and place in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the Broth: Pour 1 1/3 cups of chicken broth over the chicken.
  3. Season the Chicken: Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chopped celery.
  4. Add Soups: Spread cream of chicken and cream of celery soups over the chicken.
  5. Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours or HIGH for 3 hours until the chicken is tender.
  6. Shred the Chicken: Shred the cooked chicken and mix it with the sauce.
  7. Add Stuffing: Sprinkle the two boxes of stuffing mix evenly over the chicken mixture.
  8. Butter It Up: Drizzle melted butter on top of the stuffing.
  9. Final Cook: Cover and cook on HIGH for another 10 minutes until the stuffing is soft.
  10. Serve: Serve the chicken, stuffing, and sauce together.

Ensure the chicken is not overcooked for maximum tenderness. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
