Description

Delicious and easy candied pecans made in a slow cooker, perfect for snacking or gifting during the holidays.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh whole pecans
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Line the slow cooker insert with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, mix pecans, sugar, melted butter, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt until the pecans are coated.
  3. Pour the mixture into the slow cooker and set to low heat, cooking for about 2 hours and stirring every 30 minutes.
  4. Once cooked, spread the pecans on a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool for about 20 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately or package for gifting.

Notes

Ensure butter is at room temperature for easy mixing. Optionally add nutmeg or allspice for spiced pecans.
